12 realistic woman body shape chart by NinaSquirrelly 12 realistic woman body shape chart by NinaSquirrelly
authors personal note:
:bulletyellow::bulletyellow:and I have a question for you.
which body shape do you have? and which onde do you like? C: :bulletyellow::bulletyellow:
I wanted to do this for so long and finally did it!!
I've been curious about body shapes since I was 13. so that makes it 5 years ^^;
it was the time when I discovered that I didn't look like anyone in my family from my mother's side. (unfortunately, I'm not familiar with my fathers relatives ^^;; )
and I discovered that I'm a Lollipop :iconcandiesplz:

I always felt that simply categorizing them either with apple hourglass or pear was not enough! XD but then I discovered Trinny and Susannah's body shape bible, that included 12 body shapes and taadaaah!~ I illustrated them ~

:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:

IMPORTANT NOTES: 1.all of the female bodies represented in this picture are supposedly showing how they would compare if they were SAME height

2.more than 90% of women fall into some category, if you find your self to be part of that 9-10% let me know please ^^

3. body shape does NOT define your level of womanliness! I hate when people say "real woman have curves" or "nobody likes fat chicks" or "ugly anorexic bitch".
you know what makes you a woman? A VAGINA! period.
(I did not just made a vagina joke XDD)
(And of course I mean physically and biologically, and not mentally. love and support for LGBT <3 )
4.I DID NOT made those shapes up along with the names. they were also examined and illustrated first by Trinny and Susannah.

5. most confusion comes about pear, skittle and bell. well usually they have a lot of fat stored on their lower bodies, but that doesn't mean they can't have slim legs C: maybe not skinny, but if they're thin, they will probably have no saddle bags or overly big appearance on thighs and legs. if your waist isn't long but your shoulders are narrow, than you might be bell. I illustrated bell to be heavier than other body shapes in order to show how much bigger bell's bottom can be compared to rest of the body.
hope I cleared that out a bit more xD;; and let me just say that Bell definitely is in my personal top 3 body shapes! beyonce is the famous bell shapes.

6.height does not determine your leg length. what does determine your leg length is the comparison of your waist length to it. leg length is measured from ankles to your sexual organ, and upper body length is measure from your sexual organ to chin. so that means that someone who is 5'10 can have short legs too (because upper body is longer then her lower body) and someone who is 5'1 can have long legs (because her upper body is shorter)

:bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue:

Great work! I always talk to my friends how I dislike the one-and-only-way comics portrait heroines. So if you got an X gene you got the "super body gene" too? Camon!
Well, congrats! I liked it a lot and will use for reference when I'll sketch =)

My shape is: Big chest, wide hips slightly wider than upper thighs, and thighs that narrow to the knee, and thinner shorter lower legs. What would that be?

I think I'm in one of those 9-10%...  :)

I have small-average breasts
Small and short waist
Large hips
Long legs
Curvy but not large legs.

My legs mean I'm not a bell or a skittle.

My breasts mean I'm not a hourglass or a cello.

I think I most resemble your picture of the hourglass or cello, if she had a breast reduction :))  I'm not quite sure what the difference is.

As a guy, I will tell you that I tend to have a more visceral reaction to those that tend towards the hourglass, vase, and cello. I am, admittedly, a "boob man" but appreciate lots of curve from the waist, hips, and thighs. The trump is the specific combination of red hair, light eyes, and pale skin - I have no idea why.

I should also mention that my wife is more of a short, wide column with small breasts (dark hair, medium skin, and brown eyes), reinforcing point #3 that your shape doesn't define your womanhood, nor whether or not you are attractive. Anyone who will base whether or not to pursue a relationship based purely on looks isn't worth dating. I feel I should also mention that every guy has different things they like - every one of my friends likes something different - but no looks are as important as how you get along.

Love this! Just wish the hourglass was an hourglass icon rather than Marilyn Monroe. Thanks for the description with the picture :3

I know skittle seems much like an hourglass at times but they are totally different
